The Province of Ragusa, is located in the southeastern part of Sicily. On one side it's bordered by the Strait of Sicily, while its remaining territory occupies a large part of the Hyblean Plateau, with its ruggedly beautiful landscape crisscrossed by a web of beautiful dry stone walls beyond which you can spy cottages, villas, farmhouses and carob trees.

From Ragusa you can take a short trip to Chiaramonte Gulfi known as the "Balcony of Sicily" because of its breathtaking view of majestic Mount Etna on the horizon. From this plateau you can visit the slopes of Cava di San Leonardo valley, which are dotted by huge caves once used as "burial chambers" and housing.

Visit the small and elegant seaside resort of Marina di Ragusa to have a relaxing time enjoying the sun, sea and stunning cliffs. Recommended by TripAdvisor as one of Italy's most beautiful beaches, it has also received a Bandiera Blu award for its clean water and excellent amenities.

Ragusa Ibla, is a jewel of Sicilian Baroque and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Ibla you'll admire the quiet of its charming, narrow streets; enchanting gardens that overlook the lush valley of the River Irminio; fascinating light of sunlit courtyards and majestic buildings that belonged to the nobility of days gone by.

Travelling along the valley floor of the province, the gateway to the Val di Noto, lie Scicli, Ispica and, perched on the Costa del Diavolo, Modica, all notable because episodes of the famous TV series, "Inspector Montalbano ", are filmed there annually.

From Ragusa you can take excursions to Etna, Agrigento's Valley of the Temples, Syracuse and the wonderful "island of Ortigia", the Ancient Greek amphitheatre at Taormina, and go to Malta by ferry from Sicily in the nearby port at Pozzallo.

The airport of Catania in synergy with the nearby Airport of Comiso “Pio La Torre”  offers weekly routes from/to the main Italian cities: daily to/from Rome Fiumicino (Ryanair, Alitalia, Vueling); daily to/from Milan Linate and to/from Milan Malpensa (Alitalia, EasyJet, Ryanair); daily to/from Verona with Volotea; daily to/from Pisa with Ryanair; daily to/from Bologna Guglielmo Marconi (Alitalia, Ryanair); to/from Venice from Monday to Friday with Volotea and daily from Turin with Alitalia, Blueair and Ryanair.

Catania is an international airport that serve frequently several daily flights to the main European capitals by the major airlines including Easyjet, Thomson, Norwegian, Germanwings, British Airways and Ryanair. Comiso is a small stopover airport which also connect with London Stansted, Birmingham, Malta, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt Hahn, Brussels and Dublin.
