The Province of Ragusa, is located in the southeastern part of Sicily. Travelling along the valley floor of the province, the gateway to the Val di Noto, lie Scicli, Ispica and, perched on the Costa del Diavolo, Modica, all notable because episodes of the famous TV series, "Inspector Montalbano ", are filmed there annually.

From Ragusa you can take excursions to Etna, Agrigento's Valley of the Temples, Syracuse and the wonderful "island of Ortigia", the Ancient Greek amphitheatre at Taormina, and go to Malta by ferry from Sicily in the nearby port at Pozzallo.
